Background
The City Commission authorized funds for the replacement of Planning and Development Services Department equipment in the 2016 budget process. Bids were sent as required by the city’s purchasing policy. Unit 857, a 1998 F150, has been identified as at the end of its useable life. Unit 857 has met the city’s replacement criteria. The equipment replacement schedule is based on age, mileage, hours of use, and cost of maintenance and upkeep.
Staff Recommendation
Planning and Development Services Staff recommend the purchase of one (1) compact SUV from Laird Noller Ford following the city’s one percent local preference policy.

Authorize the Planning and Development Services Department to purchase one (1) compact SUV form Laird Noller Ford for the amount of $23,444.00 following the city’s one percent local preference purchasing policy.
