Legislative Update – Added 02/10/15

Mayor Amyx sent a letter to Honorable Mitch Holmes, Chair of the Senate Committee on Ethics and Elections indicating the City of Lawrence is opposed to any legislation that makes city elections partisan, or that moves municipal elections to the fall and on the same ballot as state and federal elections.

Additionally, KDOT has advised the City that KDOT funding for KLINK and perhaps other KDOT supported programs going forward is going to be impacted by legislative funding decisions.  Staff continues to monitor the impact for future projects.
