Please place the following item on the agenda for the August 26, 2014 City Commission meeting:
Receive request from 9 Del Lofts LLC (Flint Hills Holdings), to establish a Neighborhood Revitalization Area for the property located at 900 Delaware Street, refer the item to the Public Incentive Review Committee and set September 23, 2014 as the date for a public hearing on the proposed NRA and Revitalization Plan.
Introduction
The City is in receipt of a request letter and application from Tony Krisnich of 9 Del Lofts LLC (Flint Hills Holdings), to establish a 15-year, 95% Neighborhood Revitalization Area (NRA) for the property at 900 Delaware Street.
Tony Krisnich (project Developer) is proposing the development of vacant land, located at 900 Delaware Street into a mixed-income, multi-family housing complex (see attached renderings). Located on the southeast corner of 9th Street and Delaware Street, adjacent to the East Lawrence Historic Warehouse, in Lawrence, Kansas, the project calls for approximately 43 apartment units: 18, one-bedroom units (five at market rate); 16, two-bedroom units (three at market rate); and four, three-bedroom units (one at market rate).
Requested Action
