Outreach Efforts to Inform Residents of Trash Collection Route Changes

Starting on May 6, 2014, the city’s Solid Waste Division will begin the new residential trash collection routes.  Half of our residential customers will be assigned a different day of the week for trash collection.  The other fifty percent (50%) will not experience a trash day change.

For two weeks, April 22, 2014 through May 2, 2014, solid waste collection crews will be placing post-it notes on trash cart lids of those residents who will be assigned a different day of the week for trash collection.  This is one of a variety of communication tools the Solid Waste Division is using to inform residential customers about the trash collection route changes.  See attached overview of the communication tools with timeline and new trash route map which indicates the days for service.
