December 2013 Monthly Permit Reports

The Building Safety Division issued 135 building permits in December, with total construction for the month valued at $9,172,804.  Total permit fees assessed for the month were $58,457.85.  Permits were issued for 10 new residential projects, including 7 new single-family dwellings and 3 duplexes. Recreational Vehicle/Trailer Survey

The Planning Commission is considering standards for parking recreational vehicles, boats and trailers in residential neighborhoods.  Planning Staff has developed an on-line survey to solicit citizen feedback about the topic.  The survey will be posted on the City’s website through the month of February.

Safe Winter Walkways Update

Eighty-seven people requested assistance through the Safe Winter Walkways program this year.  A deadline of November 29 was enforced this year in order to provide sufficient time to pair up residences and volunteers prior to snow beginning to fall.  Successful pairings were made for 58% of those requesting assistance and volunteers are still being accepted.
