Vacation of Public Right-of-Way Easement 1800 Naismith Drive |
On September 17, 2013 the City Commission will hold a public hearing to consider the vacation of a public right-of-way easement; described as:
15 feet x 400 feet Alley Right-of-Way associated with Lots 1-16, Block 27, in University Place Annex, an addition to the City of Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas; In addition to the Alley Right-of Way a 15 feet x 20 feet portion of 19th Street that is described as: Beginning at the SE corner of Lot 9, thence East 15 feet to the SW corner of Lot 8, thence South 20 feet, thence West 15 feet aligned with the 19th Street Right-of Way, thence North 20 feet to the point of beginning
The owner, Bromley Naismith, LLC, proposes the vacation for building improvements permit at 1800 Naismith Drive (see attached application)
All utilities, as well as property owners within 200 feet, were notified. Utilities will reserve an easement on/over/under the vacated right-of-way. No objections were received.
Action Requested: Hold public hearing and pending discussion, approve order of vacation.
