Energy Conservation

The International Residential Code is amended with a new Appendix Chapter R to offer an alternative compliance method for energy conservation standards for dwellings. Each of the compliance methods for energy conservation requires air leakage testing and/or Home Energy Ratings System (HERS) evaluation for dwellings.

Energy Conservation Specialists performing testing or rating services must be approved by the City. A request for approval form is provided for these agencies or individuals to become registered with the City.
