Scope

The Douglas County EV Readiness Playbook will be a resource for electric vehicle preparation in Douglas County including an assessment of existing conditions, and recommendations for tools, best practices, strategies, and initiatives to encourage regional personal-vehicle electrification.

Purpose

This playbook will be developed by the Lawrence-Douglas County MPO with assistance from the City of Lawrence Sustainability Department and Douglas County Sustainability Office. It is intended to support residents, homeowners, developers, electricians, municipal entities, property managers, workplaces, and business owners by providing the necessary information and considerations for planning, designing, building and installing charging stations in the City of Lawrence, Eudora, Baldwin City, Lecompton, and throughout Douglas County.

This playbook will support the vehicle electrification strategies included in the Lawrence – Douglas County Comprehensive Plan, Transportation 2050, and the Adapt Douglas County Plan and provide a foundation for future Electric Vehicle implementation and planning processes.
