Standby Services are billed in quarter-hour increments. Time starts when employees clock in at an LDCFM station (generally 1 hour before the event starts) and ends when employees have returned to the station and clocked out.
Standby services requested more than 14 days in advance can generally be accommodated. Requests received 14 days or less before the event cannot be guaranteed. Standby requests from new organizations will generally require payment in advance. Established clients may be invoiced.
LDCFM reserves the right to reassign personnel and equipment from a standby to significant emergencies elsewhere in the community. If personnel and equipment assigned to a standby are sent to other emergencies, there will be no charge for time they are not at the standby.
* Reflects actual cost (OT + benefits) to LDCFM for this employee.
† If start time changes less than 14 days before an event, this is considered rescheduling and billed at the higher administrative fee.
