WHEREAS:   Lawrence Memorial Hospital, an instrumentality of the City of Lawrence, Kansas has enjoyed nineteen successful years of operations, in large measure due to Eugene W. Meyer’s hard work, leadership and guidance to the medical staff, associates, and Board of Trustees of the hospital, on issues affecting the quality and performance of Lawrence Memorial Hospital; and

WHEREAS:   Eugene W. Meyer has been an outstanding leader in the Kansas healthcare industry and demonstrably improved the lives of the people of Kansas through his nineteen years of service at Lawrence Memorial Hospital; and

WHEREAS:   Eugene W. Meyer’s dedication, enthusiasm, foresight, and knowledge have enhanced the quality of patient care at Lawrence Memorial Hospital; and

WHEREAS:   Under Eugene W. Meyer’s leadership, Lawrence Memorial Hospital earned national recognition as a 100 Top Hospital® by Truven Health Analytics for four consecutive years, as well as numerous other honors for the work of its medical staff and associates.
