RESOLUTION NO. 7141

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS, ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, IMPROVEMENT AND REPAIR OF THE STORM SEWER SYSTEM, INCLUDING ALL NECESSARY DESIGN, PROPERTY ACQUISITION, AND RELATED COSTS PURSUANT TO CHARTER ORDINANCE NO 28

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS

SECTION 1.  The Governing Body hereby finds that the construction improvement and repair of the sewer system including a pump station, piping, street repair, sidewalk replacement, railroad crossing, levee reconstruction, levee gatewell structure and all necessary design, property acquisition and related work for the following project

Maple Street Pump Station

is in the public Interest and is hereby ordered

SECTION 2.  The Governing Body hereby orders the above design construction improvement repair property acquisition and all other necessary and related work and allocates for the project described in Section 1 the amount of $2,000,000 plus issuance and interest costs for said projects The cost of the projects shall be paid from all lawful sources including the issuance of General Obligation Bonds pursuant to Charter Ordinance No 28

SECTION 3.   The City expects to make additional capital expenditures on and after the date of adoption of this resolution in connection with the project set forth in this resolution and the City intends to reimburse itself for such expenditures with the proceeds of the bonds and/or notes In the maximum principal amount of $2,000,000

SECTION 4.   This Resolution shall be effective from and after adoption by the Governing Body.
