December 2014 Rental Licensing and Inspection Report

Planning and Development Services submits the December 2014 rental licensing and inspection report for review.  Two new data sets have been included in the summary report: percent of units that qualify for the inspection incentive (5 or less violations) and percent of units where a property maintenance code case is opened as a result of the rental inspection.  Year-to-date numbers are included in this December report for 2014; however, beginning with the January 2015 report the numbers will be tracked monthly.  For 2014, 80.8% of inspected units qualified for the incentive program, bumping the next inspection for these units to six years instead of three.  Also for 2014, 44.8% of the inspections resulted in a property maintenance case being opened.  A year-end report for 2014 will soon be submitted for review.

Oread Design Guidelines

Planning and Development Services provides some history and a timeline of the next steps in processing the Oread Design Guidelines, which, if approved, would act as a zoning overlay in the Oread Neighborhood.  The guidelines are an action step of the Oread Neighborhood Plan adopted in 2010.
