Christmas Tree-Cycling
‘Tis almost the season to recycle your old Christmas tree. After Christmas, please place your live-cut tree at the curb or alley for collection. The trees will be used for wildlife habitat. Please remove all artificial items including tinsel, lights, and tree stand. Have your tree set out at the curb by 6:00 a.m.
2012 Collection days: FRIDAY, January 6 and FRIDAY, January 13.
The City of Lawrence Solid Waste crews collected over 2,100 trees dring the 2010-2011 Holiday Season and over 2,300 trees during the 2009-2010 Holiday Season.
