Cans for the Community is a local volunteer organization that collects aluminum cans, then gives the money raised from selling the cans to local non-profits. Support your local non-profits by dropping off your aluminum cans in one of the following Cans for the Community drop boxes:

  • Checkers Foods Store, 2300 Louisiana St.
  • Hillcrest Shopping Center, 9th & Centennial Dr.
  • Hy-Vee Store, 6th and Monterey Way
  • Hy-Vee Food Store, 3504 Clinton Pkwy.
  • Immanuel Lutheran Church, 15th and Iowa St.
  • Lawrence Memorial Hospital, 3rd & Maine St.
  • Mass Beverage, next to Target
  • Miller Mart, Wakarusa Dr. and Clinton Pkwy.
