August 25: Mayor Amyx to attend Cosmo Breakfast Meeting, 7:00 a.m., Location Mass Street Deli.

August 26: Design Charette for 8^th & Pennsylvania Neighborhood Redevelopment Project is scheduled for Saturday, August 26 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Location: New York Elementary School, 936 New York Street (enter through NE door). Commissioners’ presence is not needed until 2:30 p.m.

August 26: City Employee Appreciation Picnic, 3:00 – 8:00 p.m., Broken Arrow Park.

August 29: Mayor Amyx to attend (and welcome) the Haskell Indian Nations University Convocation, 4:00 p.m. Location: HINU Auditorium.

August 30: Ribbon Cutting – Lawrence Therapy Services, 2200 Harvard Road, #101 – 5:00 p.m. Commissioner Highberger presiding. (This is a combination Ribbon Cutting and the Business After Hours for August.)

August 31: Lawrence Schools Foundation 2006 Community Education Breakfast, 7:30 a.m. – Holiday Inn Holidome, 200 McDonald Drive.

August 31: American Institute for Architects Sustainable Design Assessment Team (SDAT) initial visit with AIA team leader Bill Gilchrist, 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. Location: USD 497 Administrative offices, 110 McDonald Drive, Superintendent’s Conference Room.

September 14: Study Session: Final report from Management Partners on performance measurement and management program – 9:00 a.m., City Commission Room, First Floor, City Hall.

September 14: Ribbon Cutting – 4:30 p.m., for Crystal Swearingen, Airborne Representative, Chamber Offices, 734 Vermont Street. Commissioner Schauner presiding.

September 17: Mayor Amyx to participate in the 152^nd Birthday celebration band concert, 6:00 p.m., South Park Gazebo.

September 18: Mayor Amyx to address opening session of 2006 Central States Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar (CS LEEDS)., 7:50 a.m. Adams Alumni Center.

September 20: Mayor Amyx to attend Central National Bank Advisory Board Quarterly Round Table Discussion, 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Location to be determined.
