Completed Tasks through October 21, 2005
- Completed all background work. This includes development of project procedures manual, updated schedule, and completed B&V project website.
- Developed preliminary list for PAC and Peer groups. List was updated at project initiation meeting.
- Confirmed selection of PAC and Peer groups. Mayor has sent invitations to PAC asking to be part of process.
- Began development of Public Involvement Program. Public involvement will include media, kiosks, and public website. A public website with links to City website is being developed.
- Scheduled first PAC and Public meeting. Meetings to be held October 26th and November 23rd, respectively.
Anticipated Tasks for December 2005
- Provide project status update to City/County/USD 497/Haskell/KU on December 1st.
- Begin preliminary process and site evaluations.
- Complete Peer Group interviews. Summary of final interview will be submitted to City/PAC.
- Conduct driving tour with City/PAC on December 14th.
- Complete second Public Meeting to discuss preliminary criteria to be used in siting process. Meeting will be documented and meeting minutes will be placed on Public Website.
- Continue Public Involvement program. Develop materials for kiosks and Utility mailings.
Actions/Issues
- Population growth may accelerate need for Wakarusa WRF prior to 2011. Important to maintain project timeline.
- Actual-to-date engineering costs exceed forecasts due to project initiation activities.

- Complete Stakeholder interviews. Interviews will be documented in a report
- Complete first PAC and Public Meeting. Meetings will be documented and meeting minutes will be placed on Public Website.
- Begin preliminary process evaluations for four options.
- Complete Peer Group interviews.
- Conduct workshop No. 1 on Nov 15th. Time to be determined.
- Schedule meetings with Haskell University and City/County Commissioners meeting to review project goals.
- Project website to be up and running prior to Nov 3rd meeting. Will be linked from City's website.
