Completed Tasks through May 5, 2006
- Continued Public Involvement Program.
- Supported property acquisition team by providing information regarding on-site activities and impacts to landowners.
- Supported contact of property owners.
- Continued working on draft copy of Siting Report.
- Conducted desk top studies on multiple sites. Evaluations included hydraulic/ hydrology, threatened and endangered species review, review of soil types, and cultural resources. Continued development of Scope of Services for Wakarusa WRF Basis of Design Report and Corridor Study to the selected locations. Submitted drafts to City for review.
Anticipated Tasks for May 2006
- Continue Public Involvement program. Distribute Public Information Campaign; third Utility bill mailing insert.
- Conduct on-site investigations on multiple sites. Site investigations will include determination of wetlands, cultural, biological survey, and soil review.
- Hold Public Meeting No. 3 to discuss finalized process and site evaluations. Present to Public the selection of the two potential site locations.
- Complete Scope of Services for Basis of Design and Corridor Study.
Actions/Issues
- Population growth may accelerate need for Wakarusa WRF prior to 2011. Important to maintain project timeline.
Decisions Needed
- Review of Basis of Design Scope and Corridor Study to continue the siting process and further define the proposed treatment concepts.
