Completed Tasks through July 1, 2006
- Continued Public Involvement Program by completing Utilit Mailer..
- Property acquisition team continued land appraisals .
- Completed site investigations and boundary survey on selected sites. Site investigations include wetland delineation, soil borings, Phase 1 Environmental, historic and cultural resources – no significant findings.
- Completed development of Scope of Services for Wakarusa WRF Basis of Design Report, Design Memo, Corridor Study and VE. City Commission approved amendment on June 20.
Anticipated Tasks for July 2006
- Continue Public Involvement program.
- Property team to complete independent land appraisal of two sites.
- Finalize draft Siting Study in anticipation of making site recommendation. Meet with staff and City Commission to recommend selection of one site.
- Submit draft study to Kansas Department Health and Environment for review.
- Begin Corridor Study and Basis of Design Report for Wakarusa WRF. Work with acquisition team to develop piping corridors.
- Develop projected flows and loads and wastewater system regulatory strategy.

- Important to maintain project timeline.
