Utility Department Targets:

1. Continue to reduce sanitary sewer service calls.
Reduce grease and other blockages that limit the sewer's ability to carry wastewater. Laws, permits, and public education will help reach this target. Service calls received as well as use of resources in other areas to maintain the system will measure progress.

2. Increase energy efficiency.
Make best use of methane to reduce energy use. Look for ways to save energy through wise operational decisions. Consider energy efficient equipment when replacing old equipment. Reducing our carbon footprint will determine progress toward this target.

3. Improve customer satisfaction of the water quality.
Predict changes in the raw water including taste and odor and offset those changes. Inform the public to improve understanding of water quality. Surveys, complaints, and responses will determine progress.

4. Increase water system reliability and efficiency.
Increase ability to supply the amount and quality of water for customer needs. Make every effort to use all resources wisely in the making and delivery of water to the public. Completion of action plans in a timely manner will verify progress.

5. Increase community and employee safety.
Adopt practices to protect staff safety as they carry out their jobs and the public. Completion of action plans in a timely manner will verify progress.
