T Lift Paratransit
What is the T Lift?
T Lift is a door-to-door, shared ride paratransit service. T Lift service is available for transit riders who, because of a disability, are unable to use the T fixed-route system. T Lift riders must be certified as eligible to use the service in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. See brochure for an overview of T Lift service (PDF, 157 KB).
T Lift Paratransit Fares
- One-way cash fare: $2.00
- 10-ride punch card: $20.00
- Monthly pass: $68.00
T Fixed-Route Fares
- One-way cash fare: $.50*
Individuals certified for the T Lift who find they are able to use the fixed-route system for some of their trips are eligible to pay reduced fare. That's just $.50 per one-way trip on the T. All T fixed-route buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts.
*Requires T Lift ID Card, available free of charge by scheduling an appointment at the Lawrence Transit System office, 933 New Hampshire. Call (785) 832-3465 for more information.

*Effective January 28, 2008, certified T Lift riders may now schedule a ride up to 5 days in advance, instead of 3 days as stated in this Policy Manual. Please note, the advance reservation window is referred to on pages 10, 11, 12, and 14 of this Policy Manual.
