Travel Training

Lawrence Transit System is making it easier to go places with public transit by offering travel training to Lawrence residents. The travel training program is designed to teach how to travel safely and independently on the ADA accessible T fixed route service. Learn more.

Wednesdays at Liberty Hall

When junior high students get out of school early each Wednesday, they have a destination that will provide fun activities from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. All they need is a way to get there, and the T provides that service. Learn more.

Labor Day closing

The Lawrence Transit System will not operate on Monday Sept. 1, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Both fixed-route and paratransit buses will not run.

Route 8 reroute change

Route 8 will follow a new reroute on campus, effective Wednesday, Aug. 20. The bus will no longer travel on Memorial Drive. When heading southbound, the bus will travel behind the Kansas Union, but when heading northbound, it will travel in front of the Kansas Union. As construction continues at 12th and Indiana Streets, a reroute will still be necessary to avoid the area.

Day pass available for the T

Making multiple trips in a single day? Give the day pass a try. The pass is the only one that is purchased directly from the bus driver. Once it's punched, you can use the pass for unlimited rides on that day. Full fare day passes are $2.75, and reduced fare passes are $1.35 with valid identification.
