Special Assesments
This search engine includes only special assessments for the City of Lawrence public improvements that have been certified to the Douglas County Treasurer as of October 1, 2005.
The search does not include the following:
- Assessments for City Code violations, such as weed mowing;
- Assessments by Douglas County (e.g. sanitary sewer trunk line improvements may be assessed by the County for certain property within the City of Lawrence);
- Pending Special Assessments for recently created benefit district that have not been certified to the County Treasurer;
- Lot Divisions (1 or more plate numbers are divided, producing several new plate numbers)
- Lot Combinations (2 or more plate numbers are combined producing new plate number(s); and
- Early Pay Out (Paying off special assessments before the allotted time)
