This stream restoration or "stream daylighting" approach provided both flood control and a natural corridor through the neighborhood. 12th Street and 14th Street were permanently closed at the channel. New bridges were constructed at Haskell Avenue, 13th Street and 15th Street. Tributary drainage systems were also reconstructed west of the channel at 13th Street and 15th Street. |
