2008-2012 Transportation Improvement Program – Amendment #8
Review and Approve the FY 2008-2012 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) – Amendment #8 and Program of Projects for the Lawrence Transit System
The official 15-day public comment period for this TIP Amendment started on March 9, 2010 and will end on March 23, 2010. This TIP Amendment will come before the Lawrence-Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Policy Board for approval at their March 25, 2010 meeting. The TIP is a multi-year listing of federally funded and/or regionally significant transportation improvement projects plus the Lawrence Transit Program of Projects (POP).
Approval of this TIP Amendment will include the revision of costs for one bridge project along US 56 and one freeway surfacing project along US 59 as well as the addition of paratransit funding for the Douglas County Senior Center. This amendment is being requested by KDOT. Changes to the TIP text, tables and map are being made to reflect these changes and to maintain the fiscally constrained status of this document.
