Rental License Renewal

Rental properties in a single family residential zoned district are required to maintain a valid rental license.

• Rental licenses are valid for one-year
• A property inspection shall be conducted once every three years.
• Obtaining a rental license is the responsibility of the property owner.

Renew your Rental License

Enter the license number and the street address of the renewal property, then press the make payment button.

Three-step process

	Find the License Number from the Rental Renewal License Notice that was mailed to you. Enter your number into the top text field. Also, add the Street Address of the renewal property in the other text field. When finished, hit the "Make Payment" button.
	After you press the "Make Payment" button, you will be taken to a web page where you can pay the $25 registration fee through PayPal, or with your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit card.
	When your transaction is complete, you will be returned to the City of Lawrence, KS web site. You will receive an e-mail of your receipt to validate the renewal of your Rental License from the City of Lawrence, KS.
