Tony was born in 1920 and was an all-sports letterman and graduate of old Lecompton High. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Tony was the Chairman of the American Legion Baseball Committee, where he served 30 years and coached American Legion baseball for 25 years and numerous other sports from 1947 to 1982.
