Richard and Kathy Peters retired this year from an architectural practice begun when we returned to Lawrence in 1957. The practice started as one and grew to more than 40 architects/engineers and landscape architects. The firm designed such projects as the Lawrence Library, City Hall, the Downtown redevelopment, Haworth Hall and Mallot science complex, Deerfield and Quail Run Elementary Schools and the Topeka Federal Office Building. We feel blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of the Lawrence community and its progress. Richard and Kathy had three children: Christopher, Laura and John. Kathy passed away in April 2007.
