James W. and Ruth Ann Paddock
James W. (Bill) Paddock and Ruth Ann Paddock, with 3-month-old James W. Jr., moved to Lawrence in June 1953 following Bill’s discharge from the Air Force. Bill graduated from the KU School of Law in 1956 and practiced law from 1956-1972.
Joel W. Paddock was born at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in 1958.
Bill served as judge of the 7th Judicial District from 1972-1994, and as a senior judge assigned to the Court of Appeals from 1994-2002.
Bill was a member of the Board of Directors of the Lawrence Sesquicentennial Commission.
