Memorial Tree Program
Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department's Memorial Tree Program is designed to enhance
and beautify public parks and spaces, while commemorating a special person,
event or accomplishment by planting a tree.
Donations to the Memorial Tree Program are accepted for $245 per tree.
The donation
of $245 will provide a shade tree, which will be planted in a public park or open
space and cared for by the Parks and Recreation Department.
Donations are also accepted for the department's tree replacement program, which
collectively funds tree replacement for City park beautification.
Donations to the Memorial Tree Program will be recognized through the
Friends of the Park Program.
