Ice skating areas closed
(Lawrence, Ks.) – Due to a rise in temperature, Lawrence Parks and Recreation has closed the ice skating area at the Lawrence Rotary Arboretum, 5100 W. 27th St., until further notice.
Skaters are also advised to stay off the ice skating area at Buford M. Watson, Jr. Park, located at Sixth and Kentucky streets. The ice is melting and is not strong enough to support skaters and could create a dangerous situation.
