Indoor aquatic center to host swim meet
(Lawrence, Ks.) – Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Aquatic Division will host the Lawrence Aquahawks’ Midwest All-Star Age Group Invitational Friday through Sunday, Jan. 15-17, at the Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive.
The competition will close the center’s lap pool for the weekend, from 3:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, through Sunday, Jan 17. It will reopen to the public 5:15 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18.
The zero-depth and children’s area will be available during its regularly scheduled hours throughout the weekend.
Additional lap swimming hours have been added at the Carl Knox Natatorium, 1901 Louisiana St. It will be open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16.
