Hours of operation / Meeting Times: Monday-Thurday 9am-5pm;Friday 9am-12pm
Fees or Dues: None for the legal services. Filing fees and court costs are the client's responsibility.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants need to be residents or employees of the county who meet financial guidelines. Cases in Douglas County only.
Intake Procedure: Telephone for an interview.

Description: The Douglas County Legal Aid Society offers legal assistance. The types of cases handled include domestic relations, municipal court criminal cases, juvenile cases as appointed by the court, landlord/tenant cases, consumer cases and public assistance cases.
Legal Aid is staffed by third year law students from the University of Kansas who are supervised by School of Law faculty.
