Improve core strength in LPRD Pilates program

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a fall session of its Pilates program for beginners.

Pilates offers a full body workout that focuses on the core and improves balance within the body. The foundational principles of Pilates will be taught with an inclusion of anatomy and alignment to ensure a safe environment for students to get an effective workout.

This class is available for participants 15 years-old and older and will be held 5:30-6:25 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Sept. 12-Dec. 14, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence®, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost is $88 per person. Participants should bring a mat to class.
