Prevention Division

The primary goal of the Prevention Division is to reduce the incidence and severity of preventable injuries and fire loss through public education, code inspections, plan reviews and investigations.

This is accomplished through various activities which include:

• Occupant Services
• Burn Permits
• Fire Code and Enforcement
• Inspections/Plan Review
• Uniform Fire Code Board of Appeals
• Fire Investigation Bureau
• Coroner Scene Investigations
• Night Consultants
