Debt Service

The City of Lawrence has a long-standing record of strong fiscal responsibility based upon sound financial management and budgeting. These factors have helped the City earn an Aa bond rating for general obligation bonds from Moody Investor's Service over ten consecutive years.

The Aa bond rating is one of the highest ratings issued. Due to the strength of the City of Lawrence's finances, the City has been able to issue debt at a low cost to help finance a number of projects.
