Audio/Video equipment in the City Commission Chambers
If you plan to deliver a presentation to the City Commission and require a/v equipment, please contact city staff for assistance. When possible, presentation materials such as Powerpoint presentations, digital photos, or other digital media should be emailed to rhall@ci.lawrence.ks.us at least one day in advance of the commission meeting. The emailed materials will then be installed on a notebook computer in advance of your presentation.
The system provided:
An Acer Travelmate C300 1.5GHz notebook computer will be available for digital presentations. Also included is a DVD/CD drive, two USB ports (for flash drives), and an externally attached 3.5" floppy drive. This system has wireless Internet connectivity via Sunflower Broadband. A wireless hand-held control with laser pointer is available for use with Powerpoint presentations.
- Software installed on the system includes:
- Windows XP with Service Pack 2
- Microsoft Office 2000 (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Publisher, Outlook)
- Internet Explorer 6.0
- Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0
- Document camera - for display of printed materials or transparencies
- VCR - standard VHS
- Projector and screen integrated into City Commission room.
The commission room is open for set up approximately 30 minutes prior to the meeting. Presenters may wish to schedule a practice run of presentation materials prior to the commission meeting. Please contact Ron Hall at 785-832-3320 or email rhall@ci.lawrence.ks.us to schedule a test presentation.
