RE:	East Lawrence Neighborhood Association National Endowment for the Arts - Our Town Grant Application Free State Festival 2017-2018

Susan Tate, CEO of the Lawrence Arts Center and Porter Arneill, City Director of Arts and Culture, attended the East Lawrence Neighborhood Association (ELNA) meeting on Monday, October 5 and provided updates on the National Endowment for the Arts - Our Town grant application and requested ELNA endorsement of the grant application. 

The East Lawrence Neighborhood Association board voted in favor of providing a letter of support to the Lawrence Arts Center for the Our Town grant application with the agreement that they be added as a participant.  Draft letter as of noon on 10/6/15.

The East Lawrence Neighborhood Association board also voted to send a letter to the City and the Lawrence Cultural Arts Commission articulating their frustrations and concerns about how the grant application process has been handled up to now.
