RE:	National Endowment for the Arts Our Town Grant Partnership for 2017-2018

The LCAC unanimously voted on Sept. 9 in favor of recommending that the City of Lawrence partner with the Lawrence Arts Center in its application for the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEA) Our Town Grant to continue to build on previous success and grow the Free State Festival for 2017-2018.  LCAC Recommendation Letter.

Per the City Commission’s request on September 15, 2015, the Lawrence Cultural Arts Commission (LCAC) met on September 30, 2015 to review the National Endowment for the Arts Our Town grant application prepared by the Lawrence Arts Center.  

A motion was made and seconded then approved unanimously by the LCAC members present:

The Lawrence Cultural Arts Commission recommends that the Lawrence City Commission approve the amended application for a National Endowment for the Arts Our Town Grant to support the 2017 and 2018 Free State Festivals for submission by the Lawrence Arts Center in collaboration with the City of Lawrence.
