RE: |
Purchase of a laboratory water system – UT1304 |
Background/Project Description
The Department of Utilities has been engaged in the construction project of the Wakarusa Wastewater Treatment Plant and Conveyance Corridor Facilities. Part of this project includes laboratory improvements to the existing Kansas River WWTP Administration Building. These improvements will allow the City to meet additional wastewater testing demand for the Kansas River WWTP and the new Wakarusa WWTP facilities. A new laboratory water system is required in order to perform the testing.
Utilities staff have determined that the Millipore laboratory water system meets the quality needs for the laboratory improvements. The Millipore laboratory water system can be purchased from Fisher Scientific under the State of Kansas contract for the amount of $57,271.88.
Project Funding
Purchase will be funded from the UT1304 Wakarusa Wastewater Treatment Plant and Conveyance Corridor Facilities project.
Action
Authorize the City Manager to approve the purchase under State of Kansas contract of a Millipore laboratory water system for the amount of $57,271.88.
