Background / Project Description

In October of 2014 Corpus Christi Church signed a petition not to protest the formation of a benefit district and the City Commission approved Resolution 7094 directing improvements to be completed, 100% paid for by the Corpus Christi benefit district.    The project scope included the construction of a dedicated left turn lane on Bob Billings Pkwy, warranted through a Traffic Impact Study with the additional site improvements.  The project was awarded to RD Johnson Excavating Co., Inc. on March 24, 2015 and started in late May 2015.  The project was completed and accepted on August 17, 2015.

Change Orders & Quantity Overruns

Change Orders

Cost

Additional Pavement Patching

Additional pavement patching was included to fully address the depth/ width of needed pavement removal and replacement of failed areas on Bob Billings Pkwy prior to application of surface overlay.

$5,125.00

Added Retaining Curbwall

An added 158 linear feet of curbwall was installed to the backside of the 6 foot wide replacement sidewalk to address and retain the steeper slopes, minimizing overall impact and reestablishment.
