RE:	Mower Replacement

Description

The Parks and Recreation Department requests Commission approval to replace a 2007 mower that is used to maintain our City parks. This unit is used daily during the mowing season and is also used for removal of snow during the winter months.  

Funding

The mower will be purchased using pricing from a cooperative purchasing agreement with the State of Kansas (Kansas Piggy-Back 4425-5) which would result in a total purchase price of $22,521.27. This price includes the trade-in of an old mowing unit (#5322). Funds are available for this purchase in the General Fund Budget.

Action Request

Authorize the Parks & Recreation Department to purchase a John Deere 1570 TerrainCut Commercial Mower for $22,521.27 from Deere & Company
