RE:	Authorization for Mayor to Sign Agreement with Grant Township Pertaining to Provision of Fire Services

Staff has negotiated an agreement with Grant Township for continuation of fire protection services for a six year period, commencing January 1, 2016 through 2021.  The current agreement for services expires at the end of 2015.  Per the agreement, Grant Township will provide the City of Lawrence $130,000 for services provided in 2016.  Annual increases in the contract amount are included through 2021. 

Staff recommends approval of the agreement.
