RE:	Right of Way permit – modification request HERE project – Concrete pour schedule street closures.

Stevens Construction Corp. has requested a modification to their City of Lawrence right of way permit to close 11^th St. between Indiana St. and Mississippi St. on Thursday July 23, 2015 from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and on Thursday August 27, 2015 from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

The request is for two (2) large concrete pours. The high amount of rain has caused delays in the construction schedule and in an attempt to get caught up they are planning on bringing in larger concrete pumps for the concrete pours and will need the additional space that will be provided by closing 11^th St.

Both Indiana St. and Mississippi St. will be open to two-way traffic during these closures.

Staff has reviewed the request and believe that the closure on these dates at the prescribed times will have minimal impact on traffic. Stevens has done a good job with compliance to date with their work in the area.

ACTION

Approve a modification to the right of way permit for Stevens Construction Corp. to close 11^th St. between Indiana St. and Mississippi St. on Thursday July 23, 2015 from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and on Thursday August 27, 2015 from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
