Call meeting to order.
Molton called the meeting to order at 4:04 p.m.
Introductions.
The Board Members introduced themselves.
Approve the April 15, 2015 minutes.
Poull made a motion to approve the minutes. Burd second the motion; the motion passed 4-0.
Review 2015 Codes.
The Board finished the review with the 2015 International Residential Code by approving the draft ordinance.
Molton made a motion to approve the draft ordinance of the 2015 IRC plumbing amendments. Poull second the motion, the motion passed 4-0.
The Board then started reviewing 2015 IPC beginning with the current ordinance.
Burd made a motion to delete section 5-506 and 5-506.1 of the City Code. This code section currently restricts certain types of materials from use as water service pipe. Deletion of the amendment would allow all materials recognized by the code to be used as water service and distribution pipe and make the IPC consistent with the IRC. Molton second the motion; the motion passed 4-0.
New Business
Staff handed out a memorandum from Barry Walthall, Building Inspections Manager, to Dave Corliss, City Manager. The memo highlighted some identified code issues in this review cycle.
Staff also informed the Board of an impending conversation on required fixtures in occupancies that would be coming in future meetings.
Adjourn
With no other business Hoag made a motion to adjourn. Poull second the motion, the motion passed 4-0.
Molton adjourned the meeting at 5:15 p.m.
