Background
The Utilities Department uses various pumps and motors to transport substances through the water and wastewater treatment systems. Annual preventive maintenance helps ensure system reliability.
Project Description
The 2015 Pump and Motor Rehabilitation Program was advertised by Bid No. B1521 on March 27, 2015, with individual bids requested for each of the 18 identified items.
Bid Information
On May 19, 2015, the City of Lawrence opened B1521 proposals. Based on equipment age, repair costs and other factors, staff has determined for some Items that replacement is more cost effective than rehabilitation.
