Project Details
The original contract for Project PW1224, which constructed the streets, water lines and sanitary and storm sewer lines for Lawrence VenturePark, did not include all portions of the south bound lanes immediately north of the intersection of O'Connell Road and 23rd Street. This stretch of roadway was planned to be phased due to its conflict with the existing electrical substation and its corresponding infrastructure. Prior to this part of the roadways completion the existing substation had to be removed, however this could not take place until a new electrical substation was constructed and operational on its new location to the north northwest. The construction of Phase II will include the completion of the south bound lanes for O'Connell Road as well as corresponding storm sewer and sidewalks (see attached map).
Project Funding
Resolution No. 7015 was approved by the City Commission on March 5, 2013 and set a maximum amount of $7,855,000 for the benefit district. To date the total project cost total $7,587,936.60 which leaves a balance of $267,063.40 for the completion of the engineering plans and construction.
