RE:	K-10 Connector Funding

Description

During the 2015 budget process Lawrence City Commission approved providing $120,000 to Johnson County to assist in the costs of operating the K-10 Connector. The K-10 connector provides express bus service between the Johnson County Community College (JCCC) campus in Overland Park and the main University of Kansas campus in Lawrence, Kansas.  

Johnson County is also requesting 2016 funding for support of the K-10 Connector.  Discussions for this request will be part of the 2016 budget process.

Action Request

Approve the payment of $120,000 to Johnson County for the operation of transit services.
