RE:	Appointments for various boards and commissions

I recommend the following individual(s) for appointment(s).  I have included phone numbers, if available.  Please feel free to call any of them to discuss their potential appointments.  I believe they are willing to answer your questions or receive any comments you might have.

Homeless Issues Advisory Committee:

Appoint Teri Smith to a position that expires 12/31/15.

Lawrence Alliance:

Appoint Ashley Rasmussen to a position that expires 11/30/14 and Scott Criquii to a position that expires 11/30/14.

Traffic Safety Commission:

Appoint Dave Crawford to a positon that expires 04/30/16.

Bioscience Technology Business Center (BTBC):

Vice-Mayor Soden

Destination Management, Inc. (DMI):

Mayor Farmer

Economic Development Council (EDC):

Joint Economic Development Council (JEDC):

Vice-Mayor Soden will move to the CC representative, which opens an at-large position that will need to be filled.

Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO):

Commissioners Boley and Herbert

Commissioner representative with city management for Memorandum of Understanding negotiations with International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) will be Vice-Mayor Soden.

Commissioner representative with city management for Memorandum of Understanding negotiations with Lawrence Police Officers Association (LPOA) will be Commissioner Herbert.
