Authorize purchase of (1) Roll Off container truck.

 

Background

The Solid Waste Division outlined in the 2015 budget process the replacement of one (1) roll off container truck.  The Solid Waste Division has scheduled the replacement of one (1) older truck that has been accumulating high repair costs and is at the end of its usable service to the operation. The equipment replacement schedule is based on age, mileage, hours of use, and cost of maintenance and upkeep.  Bids were requested under the City’s purchasing policy.

Staff Recommendation

Central Maintenance and Solid Waste staff recommend the purchase of one (1) roll off container truck from American Equipment Co. for $108,713.

 

Funding

Funding was approved in the 2015 budget process from the Solid Waste Fund.

 

Action

Authorize the Solid Waste Division to purchase one (1) roll off container truck from American Equipment Co. for the net amount of $108,713.
