RE:	Set Bid Date for Bid #B1521 Utilities Department 2015 Pump and Motor Rehabilitation

Background/Project Description

The Utilities Department requests to bid 18 pumps and motors (out of 532) for rebuild or replacement from the maintenance management system. These pumps and motors transport substances through the water and wastewater treatment systems. Preventive maintenance of pumps and motors helps ensure system reliability. Staff plans to hold a pre-bid meeting with potential contractors to answer questions on April 9, 2015.

Project Funding

Work will be funded from the 2015 Operations and Maintenance budget.

Action

Set a bid opening date of May 19, 2015 for Bid No. B1521 for the 2015 Pump and Motor Rehabilitation Program.
